Cook a three course meal.

If you love to cook and are both foodies, why not cook a three course meal together? It’s a great bonding experience as well as the fact you gain a delicious meal at the end of it. You could choose to cook it all together, or take turns with a course each – the choice is yours! Whether you keep it simple or decide to make something fancy that you wouldn’t normally do, the main thing is to keep it fun and enjoy spending quality time together at home. Pair with your favorite wine or other drink and light some candles to finish it all off.

Do some arts and crafts.

Getting crafty is another fantastic thing for you to do with your other half on valentine’s day. It offers the chance to do something a little different and spend quality time together. There are many crafts you can do, from making your own placemats with stickers you’ve printed ahead of time – it’s a good idea to print these properly and get any questions answered such as what does collate mean printing beforehand. You could decorate candles, paint mugs or make ornaments out of clay. Remember to take photos of your creations!

Have a game night.

If you’re not so creative, why not think about having a game night together? You could choose to play games on a console such as the Nintendo Switch or Xbox, or perhaps you want to go more old school and play a board game. After all, nothing brings you together like a competitive game of Monopoly! You could add dares or forfeits to the games if you lose and make up your own rules so it’s even more fun. Whichever game you decide to play, just have fun and enjoy the time together.

These are just a few simple ideas that you can do at home. They don’t cost the earth to do and are great fun for spending some time with your other half. Whether you are looking to get creative, cook up a storm or order a takeaway, try and switch off your phones and just be present in the moment. Take some photos and have a great evening together.
