I made a beef brisket for the first time and I was super excited about the way it turned out.
After being yelled at by my mom as I mentioned how I was going to fry it in a pan, she recommended that I cook it in a slow cooker.
I did and it was amazing.
Today I’m going to share with you guys how I made my beef brisket in the slow cooker.
Crockpot Beef Brisket Recipe | Food
The reason that I’m even making a beef brisket was because I received this one in a meat box from Stemple Creek.
I highly recommend trying out one of their meat boxes because the meat is absolutely delicious.
As for the brisket, you’re going to need the following;
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- Italian seasoning
- Slap Ya Mama original seasoning
- beef or chicken broth
- Italian dressing
- 4 potatoes
- 4th of an onion
Firstly, I rinsed the meat making sure to get rid of the blood that the meat was covered in.
Then I massaged the meat with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, Slap Ya Mama seasoning, and Italian dressing.
I legit do not have measurements for the seasonings. I just eyeball everything if I’m being honest.
It’ll look like this once it’s covered in the seasonings and the dressing.
I wash and cut up the potatoes along with the onion.
Next I place the beef brisket with the fat side up in the crockpot.
I add the cut up potatoes and onions too.
I pour chicken broth (since that’s what I had) all on top and around it.
For me, I covered the beef brisket completely… but you don’t necessarily have to.
I did it mainly because I wanted the seasoning and juices to soak into the potatoes.
Next I put the lid on the crockpot and put it on high to cook for 6 hours.
Alternatively you can cook it on low for 8 hours if you like too.
After 6 hours, the meat will be super tender.
It’s time to eat.
The potatoes will be flavorful and the onions will be cooked down as well.
It was so easy to cut the brisket and it tasted wonderful.
My boyfriend loved it!
I will say it tastes even better with some barbecue sauce.
I highly recommend making some spinach, greens, or salad to eat with it on the side.
You won’t be disappointed!
