prego spaghetti

I received this product to try for free in exchange for review. All opinions are my own.

I absolutely love making spaghetti because it’s simple to make and it’s extremely affordable.

Today I’m going to share with you guys how I make my spaghetti using Prego sauce.

Making Prego Sauce Spaghetti | Cheap Meal Recipes

This recipe is going to share how I make enough spaghetti for around 5-6 people or it could be equated as 5-6 meals.

Fill up a big pot with water.

I usually fill it up around 3/4ths of the pot with water.

Add a cap full of vegetable oil or olive oil along with a sprinkle of salt to the pot.

Then add maybe half of a box of spaghetti.

You can either put the spaghetti in whole or break it in half so that it all cooks.

I like to break mine in half personally.

I’ll normally cook the spaghetti on medium heat uncovered for about 27 minutes.

Once the spaghetti is al dente or however flimsy you want it, you’ll use a collander to drain the water out.

Then you’ll rinse the noodles with either cool or lukewarm water.

Then you’ll place the noodles back in the pot and add 2 jars of Prego sauce.

Mix the noodles around and lower the heat a bit.

Cooking the meat

Today I’m cooking some meat that I received in a meat box from Stemple Creek.

They sell a variety of organic meat boxes that you can have delivered to your home. I’ve been loving it because I didn’t really have to buy any beef for a month.

I also love that they’re environmentally friendly where you can recycle the paper packaging.

The ground beef I used for this spaghetti tastes pretty good.. just like ground beef I would buy from a store.

Just before you’re about to rinse the noodles, I recommend that being the point where you start cooking meat.

You will use 1 pound of ground beef.

You’ll use a big skillet and turn the burner on medium.

Add the ground beef and cook it until it turns brown.

Break up the ground beef as you cook it down.

Once it has mostly turned brown you’ll sprinkle a bit of garlic powder, Lawry’s seasoning salt, and onion powder on the meat.

You’ll stir the meat with the seasonings on it so that all of the meat is seasoned properly.

Add the meat to the pot of noodles and Prego sauce, then stir it all up.

And your spaghetti dinner is complete!

I like to add cheese on top of mine.

My boyfriend likes to put parmesean on his while I like to melt shredded colby jack cheese on mine.

It’s absolutely delicious.

I also recommend buying some garlic toast from the frozen food section of your local grocery store too!
