I have been loving trying the various meats in the Stemple Creek Ranch box.
They offer a variety of meat packages that you can buy and have shipped to your home.
I feel like this is great for anyone who loves fresh grade A quality beef.
They sent me the Beef Welcome Box for Two and I’ve been loving it!
Today I decided to try making the beef bavette steak & the beef petite tender steak.
I figured I would share with you guys my experience making steak for the first time.. so let’s jump into it!
I cooked steak at home for the first time. | Dinner Idea
2 days before I took the meat out of the freezer and put it in the fridge to thaw out.
Then last night I washed the meat off and put it in a ziploc bag to marinate with Italian dressing, garlic powder, and onion powder for about 24 hours.
When I thawed the beef bavette steak, I didn’t realize it was folded and how big it was… but I was super excited for it.
I want to say it took me maybe 15-20 minutes to cook these steaks.
I tried to make sure the temperature was around 146-160 F.
I made sure that I had a thermometer nearby so that I could test the temperatures of the meat because I wanted them to be medium well kind of.
I used to didn’t like eating steak until my boyfriend made me a steak one day and my entire life changed.
In the past whenever I had steak my grandmother would make them to where they were well done so I was never a fan of steak, but after eating a steak cooked medium rare… I love steak.
These are both of the steaks after I cooked them. They’re absolutely beautiful and they tasted amazing.
My boyfriend said that the beef pavette steak kind of gave him flashbacks of eating liver with his dad when he was a kid.
This steak was my favorite out of the two.
My boyfriend liked the beef petite tender steak much more.
I thought it was pretty good, but it didn’t seem to hold the seasoning as well as the beef pavette steak did.
I made these steaks with some oven potatoes and fresh spinach.
This was also my first time making fresh spinach and it tasted amazing!
Highly recommend making fresh spinach over frozen spinach now.
Overall this was a lovely experience for my first time making steak.
It was tender, beautiful, and super tasty!
I highly recommend making steak the way I made it along with trying a meat box from Stemple Creek Ranch.
So now it’s time for you guys to try in, what are your thoughts about cooking steak?
