It’s almost the New Year which means it’s time to start thinking about a legitimate New Year’s Resolution that you can do successfully.
Today I’m going to share with you guys some good resolutions that’ll be helpful within making your life better.
So let’s jump into them!
14 Good New Year Resolutions That Can Make Your Life Better | Lifestyle
Drink more water instead of pop.
Add more water drinking to your daily life.
Replace drinking pop and juice with drinking fruity water, fruit infused water, or sparkling water if the taste is the issue.
Think more positive.
Try to work on removing negative thoughts.
Stop saying “I can’t” and focus on saying “I will” or “I can” which can be life changing.
Try a New Hobby.
Fill your time up with doing something fun for self care by taking up a new hobby you’ll enjoy.
Have a game night every month.
Plan a game night with friends, family, or even for a date night every month.
Plan the game night at your home or even take a board game or two to a cafe to play with a few people.
Have a karaoke night every month.
Invest in a mic or two and sing your heart out with friends or for a date night.
All you’ll have to do is search for songs on Youtube to play in the background as you sing.
Let go of things that aren’t meant for you.
Learn to not force life. Let life move as it does. There are going to be somethings completely out of your control and that’s okay.
Come to terms with them, accept them, and go with the flow. Sometimes that’s all you can do. Just don’t let things control you.
Drink more tea.
Start experimenting with drinking more tea. Tea has so many health benefits.
Try different kinds whether it’s hot tea, ice tea, bubble tea… experiment to find teas you like and can add to your everyday life.
Try something new every month.
I remember an episode of Friends where Ross’s resolution was to try something new every single day… while that is doable, it’ll take a lot of persisitence.
Pick 1 new thing to do every single month and follow through with it.
Use a planner.
Start actively using a planner.
I know when I started using a planner it was an absolute game changer for me.
It helped me with reaching my goals and feeling more accomplished day after day.

Start going to therapy.
I feel like everyone should try going to therapy at least once in life… even if it’s only to vent.
Set up a therapy session via BetterHelp and have a virtual session where you share how you’re feeling or what you’re going through in your life.
Get into reading books by buying some books you’d be interested in or even start checking out audio books.
My boyfriend started using Audible and he’s been enjoying checking out Fantasy / Sci-Fi books.
You could also start a book club too.
Eat more fruits and vegetables.
Add some more fruits and vegetables to your life.
I recommend making veggies with rice along with some sort of meat or fish and adding in some sauce like my favorite Szechaun sauce or use soy sauce.
You can also get into making smoothies as well.
Practice self care daily.
Spend time doing something for yourself everyday… whether it’s an hour of scrolling Tik Tok for self care or dancing to music around the kitchen or having a glass of wine.
Do something for you.
Make it a habit to write in a journal.
Write about the things that bothered you during the day and release it or even take a moment to write about the good things that happened to you.
Write about what you’re thankful for for the day or the week.

These are all great New Years resolutions. I need to practise self care more.
for me, it is drinking water, having a planner and of course being positive. Glad that this article made me think on those lines
I’m a huge believer in starting new things not just once a month, but as frequently as possible. I’m glad I’m sticking to this philosophy and keeping a journal to track my progress or successes. I enjoy the bloom daily planner and would want to get one for myself.
Some of these are on my list- letting go and using a planner!
