I watched the anime Cowboy Bebop on Hulu!

I have tried watching Cowboy Bebop a multiple of times only to reach episode 3 every time and end up restarting to watch it a year later.

My boyfriend ended up sitting down to watch it with me when we heard that Netflix was releasing the live action Cowboy Bebop series.

Today I finally finished it and I figured I would share with you guys my thoughts on the Cowboy Bebop series.

Summary: Cowboy Bebop is about a couple of bounty hunters who end up experiencing different adventures in futuristic times.

My Thoughts

It was interesting seeing the idea that humans had colonized certain parts of space.

I always like shows that make these declarations of the space life we’ll be living in future times. The way the show created the evaluation of how Earth is and how life is outside of the Earth is very intriguing.

The characters all have something to bring to the show.

I adored how different episodes pertained to different characters in the show. Cowboy Bebop wasn’t only about Spike… it was about his counterpart bounty hunters too.

This anime is kind of like a crime show.

This series reminds me of crime shows where the main characters find clues and go on the hunt for bad guys.

The soundtrack was pretty lovely.

I really enjoyed the music in this anime because even though it was set in futuristic times… the music was very jazz worthy.

The ending was pretty sad and truly depressing to be honest.

So this is kind of a warning… but I didn’t expect Cowboy Bebop to end the way that it did. It was truly unfortunate to see how things unfolded in the show, but it was definitely worth the watch.

Do I recommend the Cowboy Bebop anime?

It’s a good show to watch, but I do feel like it was overhyped. Many people talk about how good this show is (mainly on Twitter) and it’s decent, but I feel like it doesn’t necessarily live up to the hype it receives.

I think a lot of people like it for nostalgia purposes, but I can understand how the anime was probably considered as being one of the best anime out at the time it aired though because the action and the storyline is very well-written.
