My boyfriend requested a double crust cheesecake for Sweetest Day so instead of buying one after searching for an affordable one… (the one I found was $60+ on Goldbelly), I decided to make one myself.

I ended up buying a Jello No Bake Cheesecake mix via Instacart and finding a cheesecake crust recipe to see if I could attempt to make my own double crust cheesecake without too much hassle.

Today I’m going to share with you guys how I made it and if you guys should try out the Jello No Bake Cheesecake mix.

So let’s jump into it.

This cheesecake took about 13 minutes to actually make. This includes prep time.

However I did have to let the cheesecake sit in the fridge for awhile.

The Jello no bake cheesecake comes with a crust mix and the cheesecake mix.

You just have to add sugar and butter to the crust mix for the crust.

You melt the butter, mix in the sugar and the crust mix, then press it around a pan for the crust outline.

For the cheesecake filling you just have to combine the cheesecake mix and milk.

You whip it until it’s kind of thick and heavy, then pour it on top of the crust and smooth it out a bit.

For the double crust layer, I just crushed up some graham crackers. I believe I crushed up about 6 or 7 graham crackers in a ziploc bag.

I melted the same amount of butter as I did for the Jello crust mix, added some sugar, and a teaspoon of brown sugar to it.

I mixed it all up and sprinkled it on top of the cheesecake.

Then I put it in the fridge for a couple of hours.

On the Jello No Bake Cheesecake box, it said that I could put it in the fridge for just an hour but I decided to leave it in there for a bit longer.

The Taste

So the cheesecake tasted really good which is surprising for me since I can’t stand cheesecake myself.

My boyfriend ate a slice of cheesecake everyday until it was gone which made me extremely happy.

He said it tasted more cake like than cheese like. I’m not sure what that means, but I’m hoping it’s a good thing considering he enjoyed.

Do I recommend trying the Jello No Bake Cheesecake?

I definitely do if you’re looking for a quick way to make cheesecake at home that isn’t costly.

It’s simple and super easy to create.

Also keep in mind, I made the cheesecake at around 9 pm at night.

I am a huge fan of making sweets at night and highly recommend this cheesecake dessert, especially if you want to go with a double crust cheesecake option too.
