So it says on the box that the pizza is a thin crust that comes with Italian grana padano, low-moisture part-skim mozzarella cheese, pomodoro tomato sauce, calabrese salami, and red pepper flakes.

I don’t believe I’ve had anything except the red pepper flakes before so I’m super excited to try it.

At first glance, I see some little circle meats and some bigger circle meats.

It honestly doesn’t appear as though it is a lot of sauce on the pizza, but since it’s a smaller pizza and the crust is on the thinner side.. that may not be a bad thing.

The Cooking Time

It didn’t like long to cook it. I was supposed to cook it for 10-12 minutes on 420 degrees, but I ended up cooking it on 380 degrees for like 15 minutes instead. I just had a strong feeling like I’d end up burning the pizza since in the past when I cook something at the time on the instructions… whatever I was making would end up burning and over cooking.

The texture after cooking it

The crust is thin, but it’s not a bad thin.

I love the way it tastes. Some ends were crispier than others but the crust was definitely one of the best things.

I was able to cut it into 4 even slices. I definitely think that maybe 2 people could eat this pizza if you plan on having a side salad and maybe some Kroger fried chicken along with it if you’d like something else.

Taste

So this was very interesting. It tasted like pizza with pepperoni on it, but at the same time the meat tasted differently.

The little circle pieces of meat seemed to have a bit of a tang as did the big circles of meat. Both of the meats were very salty.

I absolutely loved the crust and the cheese was wonderful on it. I could eat this pizza if it was simply just the crust, sauce, and cheese alone on it.

Do I recommend this pizza?

So honestly it all depends. I wasn’t really a fan of the meats personally because they had an overwhelming flavor. If I can find this same pizza, but as a cheese pizza without the meat… I’d definitely recommend it.

I’ll probably end up trying the other pizzas within this brand as long as they have other foods on it specifically other meat on it.

  5. not a fan of frozen pizza myself, it definitely takes me back. somehow my mother used to love it and it reminds me of rare lazy days home when we watched rental movies, ate unusual food and bounded as a family, it looks like a nice option for me if I feel nostalgic

  7. Kroger sound like a really great brand, to be honest. I’ve read some fab reviews of their products recently. I don’t think we can get them here in the UK, though, which is a real shame.

  8. So funny: I basically never eat frozen pizza. However, last Saturday, for once in many, many years, I had a craving 😀 However, we don’t have this brand in Europe.
