I recently went to a different Kroger.. one different from the one I normally go to and found out that Kroger sells sushi.
To my surprise the sushi looked absolutely beautiful.
The sushi definitely looks like restaurant high quality sushi which was not what I was expecting.
I was in the mood for some sushi and mentioned to my boyfriend that I wanted to try some.
We ended up buying a Party Platter of Sushi and a Kroger Snowfox Mixed Combo platter for a sushi date night at home.
Today I’m going to share with you guys my thoughts on the sushi and whether you should plan a trip to Kroger for Sushi.
I tried Kroger Sushi for the first time for Date Night at Home | Food
The Mixed Combo Platter was $13.99. It came with 3 rolls of 3 different sushi rolls to try.
It had a Spicy Roll, Shrimp Roll, and a Crunchy Roll.
I loved all of these rolls.
I would rank the 2nd one as my favorite. Then the 1st at the top and the bottom one would be the way I would rank in best tasting sushi in this platter.
The Samurai Party Platter was $19.99. It came with 4 different sushi rolls.
I’ll be honest, I don’t even know what was in the sushi rolls apart from the plain looking roll without the sauce.
That one was I believe, a California roll. It had avocado, crab, and cucumber in it.
I liked the sushi on the left the best which seemed to be a California roll with maybe.. Yum Yum sauce I think?
I liked the roll with the crunchy stuff on top 2nd, then the California roll on the right, and the upper roll with all of the sauce last. The top roll was kind of sweet tasting to me.
Overall, do I recommend Kroger sushi?
I definitely recommend the sushi at Kroger. It tastes pretty good. I wasn’t disappointed by any of the rolls.
They were all delicious. These 2 platters together made a full meal for both my boyfriend and I. Plus we had some sushi leftover too.
Kroger starts serving sushi after 11 AM. Depending on the location the sushi should be available in the afternoon too.
We picked up sushi around 4pm on Labor Day and a lot of people were checking out what type of sushi was available when we went to Kroger.
I feel like on a normal day it might sell out so keep that in mind.
So if you’re interested in buying some sushi, then head over to a Kroger near you to try some today!
