I’ve been wanting to lose a bit of weight since I’ve gained maybe 20lbs over the course of quarantine. I did a bit of research and I decided to try a cucumber diet, but I decided to fix it to my liking because only eating cucumbers doesn’t sound like it’d be too fulfilling. I ended up doing a week of the cucumber diet and I figured I’d share with you guys what I ate as well as the weight I loss within doing the cucumber diet. So let’s jump into it!
I tried a cucumber diet for weight loss for 1 week | Health
Within the cucumber diet, the plan was for me to eat cucumbers with every meal as well as to eat cucumbers when I felt liks I wanted a snack or when I wanted some sort of dessert. It’s pretty much supposed to curb my need for junk food. In this diet, I ate breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.
Breakfast
- 2 scrambled eggs with 1 piece of turkey bacon & half a cucumber
- Toast with butter & half a cucumber
- spinach omelette with 2 eggs, cheese, & half a cucumber on the side
- Nutri-grain bar and half a cucumber
- cucumber & tomato salad with 1 piece of bacon
Snack
- half a cucumber and sunflower seeds
- half a cucumber and peach cup or pineapple fruit cup
Lunch
- turkey wrap with a tortilla, lettuce, tomato, light mayo, mustard and half a cucumber
- turkey sandwich with miracle whip and mustard with half a cucumber
- tuna sandwich with half a cucumber
- chicken salad and crackers with half a cucumber
Dinner (cucumbers are added with each dinner)
- Salmon, salad or broccoli, and roasted potatoes
- rice, broccoli, and grilled chicken
- ramen noodles, bell peppers, onions, & grilled chicken
- grilled chicken salad
Salad dressings I used: Raspberry vinegarette, Garlic dresssing, Greek dressing
Drinks I drank: Water & Vernors/Bundaberg Beer
Was sticking with this cucumber diet difficult?
It was when I wanted some cookies or ice cream. I also badly wanted to eat some chips or fries at lunch time, but I decided to stick with half a cucumber instead.
Did I workout during this cucumber diet?
I did my walking workouts which consisted of me walking 40-60 minutes every other day while watching a show on Hulu, Crunchyroll, Netflix, or Tubi.
How much weight did I lose in a week on this cucumber diet?
I lost 4lbs in a week with doing this cucumber diet. Honestly if I kept this diet up and removed the sugary drinks completely along with adding in more cardio, I probably could have lost more weight. Also if I changed some of my food choices, I would have lost more too.
