Baked Haddock Recipe | Healthy Walmart Recipe

Spread the love

My boyfriend and I have been trying to become a bit more healthier with our eating habits, so we decided to swap out meat to add more fish to our diet. While in the frozen fish section, I decided that we should try some haddock since I had never tried it before and let me tell you guys… It was absolutely delicious! This is actually some fish that holds seasoning fairly well. Today I figured I would share with you guys my quick baked haddock recipe.

Baked Haddock Recipe | Healthy Walmart Recipe

So the baked haddock I purchased was from Walmart in the frozen section. It’s 2 pieces of fish per bag when you open the package of baked haddock. I don’t really eat much so I usually take out one bag for me while I take out 2 bags for my boyfriend. One thing you have to remember is that fish usually shrinks so if you think you’ll eat a lot, then I would recommend taking out one extra bag to bake.

I thaw the baked haddock by putting the frozen bags in a ziploc bag and putting it in a bowl of hot water that I poured from the sink. It takes maybe 2 hours for it to thaw. I usually pour some hot water and let it sit for an hour. Then pour that water out and add some more hot water to the bowl while placing the bag of fish on the other side so that both sides can be evenly thawed.

Now onto the baked haddock recipe.

Turn on the oven for 350 degrees.

Line a pan with aluminum foil for less clean up.

Add your seasoning of choice ontop of the aluminum foil.

Baked fish spices

I added Salt-Free Dash Table Blend, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, and a dash of Slap Ya Mama seasoning for a bit of spice.

Place haddock on top of the seasoned aluminum foil.

Then add a bit more of the seasonings on top of the fish.

Cover the pan with another sheet of aluminum foil.

Bake for 10 minutes and take it out of the oven to eat.
