I just got done watching the Netflix romance movie, The Perfect Date. It starred Noah Centineo from To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and Laura Marano from Disney Channel’s Austin and Ally.
The movie is about a middle class high school senior who wants to get into Yale. Him and his friend come together to create a dating app to pay for his college tuition. Within this dating app, he becomes the date of your dreams… but as he grows his money and goes on a many of dates… he comes to terms with what he wants out of life.

Accepting yourself and being true to yourself is better than changing who you are.
A lot of times we may have this concept that the grass would be greener on the other side if we were different or had another life. Sometimes you realize that things aren’t always what they seem and that you should just be yourself.
Sometimes you have to learn to not be self-absorbed.
Many of us will get too caught up and focused on ourselves that we don’t stop to take time out to see how things are affecting the people around us. Sometimes we don’t even realize that we are contributing to making the ones who are in our lives feel nonexistent or irrelevant. We have to make sure to stop and think about others. Consider their feelings and how they are doing in their day to day lives instead of only being focused on ourselves and how we can benefit from the people within our lives.

Be with someone who you can talk to about anything and everything.
When it comes to dating and relationships, things shouldn’t feel forced or uncomfortable. When you find the person you’re supposed to be with… it’ll be natural and you’ll know you’ve found your person. You won’t have to change to be with the one who you’re supposed to be with.
Overall, The Perfect Date is a wonderful teen romance movie to watch that even adults will enjoy. I know I really liked the overall concept of the movie and the acting was pretty good. I also have to mention that the soundtrack was nice as well.
