I know that I have a lot of readers that are coffee lovers. However, the cost of coffee can add up overtime and you’ll realize how much you’re spending to grab a cup or two a day. If you spend $5 a day on coffee, you’re spending around $150 a month on coffee and in a year that’s $1800!

Today I figured I would share with you guys some tips on how to save money on coffee. I even have some tips on ways you can get free coffee. So let’s jump into it.

8 Ways to Save Money on Coffee | Start getting free coffee today!

Buy coffee from the grocery store instead of buying it from a cafe.

You can save a lot of money by just brewing a cup of coffee at home. You also might be able to get to work on time or early if you make your own coffee at home instead of waiting in a line.

Brew coffee at home with a Keurig.

Invest in a drip coffeemaker or a Keurig coffee maker. If you do buy the Keurig, you can even use it to make things like tea, hot cider, or hot chocolate.

***If you’re a big fan of Starbucks and you own a Keurig, you can buy these Starbucks K-cups. You get 40 cups of coffee for only $34! They even have different flavors.

**If you love Dunkin’ Donuts coffee and you own a Keurig, you can buy 60 Dunkin Donuts Medium Roast K-Cups for ONLY $26 which is a huge deal! They also have different flavors you can choose from too.

Start using coupons at the grocery store to save money.

A lot of times I will see coupons for coffee for the Keurig in the Sunday newspaper or even online. See if you can find some online by heading on over to Coupons.com to see if there are some available.

Pay attention to the coupons in the mail.

Tim Horton’s practically always sends coupons for coffee, donuts, and other items they sell to my house about twice a month. Dunkin Donuts and McDonald’s also sends coupons from time to time.

You can also sign up for free to Valpak to get coupons for deals and restaurants within your local neighborhood once a month. I receive coupons to Dunkin Donuts a lot from there.

Sign up for emails from your favorite places.

I would recommend signing your email up to Dunkin Donuts, Tim Horton’s, Starbucks, Biggby Coffee, and any other coffee places you can think of. Sometimes they offer freebies for your birthday as well as deals throughout the year.

Buy an Entertainment coupon book to save money on coffee, restaurants, bowling, clothing stores, and more.

I try to always buy an Entertainment book every year. They cost $20 at the beginning of the year, but over the year the price declines. They have coupons for coffee shops, restaurants in your local area, bowling, skating, golfing, and even coupons to clothing stores. You’ll end up saving hundreds to thousands of dollars with all of the different places in the book.

QUICK TIP: This is a great book to own if you want to try new restaurants or activities on a budget.

Download apps from restaurants that serve coffee.

Some apps will give discounts on coffee or even rewards for purchasing from them if you use the restaurant’s app. Download the ones you regularly visit.

Get free coffee by taking surveys.

There are an assortment of survey websites that offer coffee gift cards. The two survey sites I use pretty consistently are Swagbucks and MyPoints.

With Swagbucks, I am able to get a $5 Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts gift card in a day sometimes. For the most part, you can make about $20-25 extra a week on your free time without much effort by taking surveys. You can also get cashback on online purchases which can go towards coffee gift cards too. They have other ways you can earn money on this website, but I only focus on the surveys and cashback from websites I shop on.

You can sign up for Swagbucks using my referral link and you’ll get $3 towards a coffee gift card! That means you’ll only have to make $2 more.

MyPoints is pretty much the same way as well where you take surveys and receive cashback. Usually I could take some surveys throughout the week and I’ll make an extra $10 in coffee gift cards.

Here’s my MyPoints referral link.

If you use both MyPoints and Swagbucks combined, you could have $30-35 a week in coffee or around $120-$140 in coffee gift cards for the month. You might even be able to get more gift cards if you put in more effort a day on these websites too.

So those were all of my ways to save money on coffee or to just get free coffee in general.
