Spring is wonderful.
I have been completely over snow and shoveling it this Winter. So I am so happy that it’s much warmer now. I feel like my mental state is even better with this transition of the weather. The Spring time just makes me feel so much more relaxed and peaceful.
I’ve been having this urge to buy a ton of flowers and plants. I am moving in with my boyfriend next month and I definitely feel like I am going to end up purchasing at least 15 new plants. I am so thankful that I don’t really have allergies when it comes to flowers because I absolutely love them. I remember when I was a child, I used to love walking this one neighbor’s house in my old neighborhood. They had these gorgeous tulips and I always dreamed of having my own miniature garden whenever I bought a house. I am hoping that will happen within the next couple of years.
I’ve been also trying my hardest to not buy a ton of clothes and shoes this season. I feel like the Spring time is the best time for floral dresses and I have been seeing so many cute dresses on sale. I am so glad that I can talk myself out of buying things. I just keep telling myself,
“You’re on a budget. Do you really need these 3 dresses? Put them back.”
It’s so hard, but I successfully stop myself from buying. Shoes on the other hand and I am not always so reluctant depending on the shoe. I have been feeling the urge to treat myself to some new shoes, but I feel like I’ll end up buying like 3 new pairs. It’s so hard to say no to shoes when they’re on sale.
Another thing that I love about the Spring season is that there will soon be a festival every week in a city near where I live which I absolutely love. From art festivals to music festivals to miniature carnivals, there is always something going on near me and it’s great because that means new adventures. I aim to attend at least 5 festivals this year or at least I am hoping that I will have the energy to go to that many. With me being an introvert my socialization meter tends to decline rapidly, but we’ll see. I know for sure that I would love to go to a food related festival. I enjoy trying out different food trucks because they help me to decide on which restaurants I’ll visit in the future.
Speaking of food, I definitely would love to barbecue in the park and have a picnic. I know that a lot of people think that picnics are specifically for the Summer, but I actually prefer the Spring time for barbecue because it isn’t as hot and there aren’t AS many bugs out. Hopefully my boyfriend and I can plan a quick barbecue picnic sometime this month because I have a taste from some barbecue chicken and slightly burnt hot dogs.
What do you guys love about the Spring season? What do you look forward to doing this Spring?
